Bhagsu village will definitely be on my mind for a long long time, I can't believe I spent here more than a week, how the time flies ...
The journey from Delhi to here was not that easy as I thought it would be, departing at 16:00 and arriving the next morning at 7:45. it could have been easier if I had some sleep during the ride.
Bhagsu Village is approximately 2000 meters above sea level, so during nights it can get quite cold out here, but the scenery here is overwhelming indeed, as part of the Himalaya range, you get to see here lots of green forests covered sometime by white clouds, it rains here every single day, amazingly at the same time - 15:30, for about 2 hours.
the view from my balcony at my hotel room is magnificent, I couldn't picked a better place to stay, usually I find myself sitting on one of the chairs on my balcony and wondering away with my thoughts. To see what am I talking about, click here
A view from Bhagsu
on the 11th I celebrated with other 500 Israeli travelers the new year in "Beit Chabad", the night was OK, as I expected - thrilling atmosphere, crappy food.
Bhagso is located a few KM away from Mcleod Ganj - the formal resident of the Dalai Lama, obviously I paid him a visit, and more obvious he wasn't there to meet me, so I got to see his very humble house (from outside of course). later on I visited the National Tibetan Library and the Museum right next to it. I even tried to teach myself Tibetan fonts.
more than that, I decided to expand my horizon and to take 2 courses:
1. Indian Cooking Class
I am definitely going to cook some Indian food when I get back home, unless Efrat will surprise me and learn how to make other stuff other than veg. salad and over-burned omelet (Ohh... I'm going to be sorry for that later, big time).
2. Knitting Class
As funny as it sounds, I decided to overcome the great embarrassment and to knit, actually I'm getting reasonably good at it, already made a cellular phone holder out of wool, and the sky is the limit.

there are so many other things to see and do here, unfortunately I don't have much time, soon I'm going to see Efrat in Delhi, very soon.

Have Fun,
Yoni.
